As an Intermediate or Senior Software Developer you will work on one of the major Univerus global products in the Local Government and Utility sectors. This will involve working across Web Applications and Services and growing to be being part of the Univerus Unity platform.

Note: This role is based in Richmond, New Zealand. This is a full-time permanent position, for a minimum of forty hours per week. To be considered for this position you must have a legal right to live and work in New Zealand.

Job Requirements:

We strive to create an environment of constant learning and development and hope we can teach you new things as well as learn from you. As a starting point, we're looking for a good knowledge and experience of C# and ASP.NET.  

We require a strong ability to work with relational databases, and frontend web development experience.  Proficiency in SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential. Experience specifically with SQL Server is preferred.

A minimum of three years’ software development experience is required for this role.

You will need to bring the following skills to be successful in this role:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of C#
  • Solid understanding of ASP.NET
  • Relational database experience e.g. SQL Server
  • Experience with GIS apps such as QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap and MapInfo
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle using Agile methodologies
  • Experience with design patterns such as MVC
  • Experience working with source control systems such as Git
  • Experience with other programming languages such as VB and python
  • Experience with DevExtreme, Leaflet
  • Experience with DevOps, Pipelines
  • Experience with IIS and Windows Firewalls
  • Experience with Azure AD
  • An understanding of either user interface or user experience design is also helpful, but not a necessity.
