We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Support Lead to join our growing team! As a Technical Support Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and improve software applications and systems. If you have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology, we would love to hear from you!


Note: This role is based in Canada, and will be fully remote from your home office (but may require occasional travel for business meetings). This is a full-time permanent position, for a minimum of forty hours per week. To be considered for this position you must have a legal right to live and work in Canada.



Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate current software applications and systems to identify areas of improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and document system requirements.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and user stories for software enhancements and new features.
  • Assist in creating test plans and conducting quality assurance testing to ensure the proper functioning of software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to provide recommendations on software and system improvements.



Job Requirements:

Requirements:


  • Proven experience working in Software support, Technical Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres) and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with software development tools, such as Git, GitHub, JIRA and Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment – from a remote location


Nice-to-Have Skills:


  • Experience with front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with programming languages, such as .NET, ASP and PHP.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of software security best practices.
